In the women's foil competition of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, China competed with another country. During the competition, the drawstring on the back of the athletes in that country fell off. China asked to suspend the game and personally went up to help his opponent tie the ribbon, and the audience immediately applauded warmly. Winning or losing international sports competitions is important, but it must be based on fair competition in order to win the support and respect of opponents and spectators.
