Because it is hard to say whether the current strength of the dollar can last forever, the financial crisis in the United States will definitely affect its currency. As for why it has been strong now, we can consider it from two aspects: 1, Obama just took office, and the new official took office with three fires. It is certain to maintain the strength of the US dollar. 2. The main form of American currency is bonds. If you want to sell bonds and change them into currency, you need a lot of dollars in cash, so the demand for cash is very large. As for gold, we must do more.
