Legal basis: Regulations on the Administration of Carrying and Mailing Chinese Herbal Medicines and Chinese Patent Medicines by Passengers in People's Republic of China (PRC).

Article 2 Passengers carrying Chinese herbal medicines and proprietary Chinese medicines out of the country for Hong Kong and Macao shall be limited to RMB 300 yuan.

Article 3 The total value of Chinese herbal medicines and proprietary Chinese medicines sent by individuals to Hong Kong and Macao shall be limited to RMB 100 yuan, and the overseas delivery shall be limited to RMB 200 yuan.

Article 4 Chinese herbal medicines and proprietary Chinese medicines purchased by inbound and outbound passengers with a reasonable amount of foreign exchange for their own use shall be examined and released by the customs on the basis of the invoice stamped with the "Special Seal for Purchase of Foreign Exchange" uniformly issued by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange. Beyond the range of reasonable quantity for personal use, it is not allowed to be taken out.
