On January 18, the China Tourism Academy released the China Tourism Economy Blue Book "2015 China Tourism Economy Operation Analysis and 2016 Development Forecast" in Beijing.
The blue book shows that in 2015, China received more than 4.1 billion domestic and foreign tourists, and total tourism revenue exceeded 4 trillion yuan, an increase of 10% and 12% respectively compared with 2014. Inbound tourism has grown for the first time in the past three years. In 2015, it received 133 million inbound tourists, a year-on-year increase of 4%, and the foreign exchange revenue from inbound tourism was US$117.57 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.6%.
