Afghan pine nuts are famous for their outstanding quality, with an annual output of about 20,000 tons and an annual export value of 800 million US dollars, which has driven 654.38+10,000 local people to find jobs. This is an important source of financial revenue in Afghanistan and the only source of income for many Afghan farmers. However, due to the deep inland, inconvenient transportation and years of war, a large number of pine nuts in Afghanistan are unsalable every year.

Small pine nuts are related to the livelihood of thousands of Afghans. In order to help the Afghan people turn pine nuts into tangible benefits, with the joint efforts of China and Afghanistan, China opened the "pine nut route" for direct import from Afghanistan in 20 18, which generated local income of150,000 USD in just four months. According to statistics, 3,000 to 5,000 tons of pine nuts are directly transported to China every year, which benefits both Afghan people picking pine nuts and consumers in China. Songzi air corridor has become an important link of friendly cooperation between China and Arab countries.

In the next step, under the framework of the liaison mechanism of China-Afghanistan economic reconstruction working layer, China will strengthen the docking contact with Afghanistan, promote the export of agricultural products with Afghan characteristics such as saffron to China, and play a greater role in helping Afghanistan's economic reconstruction with practical actions.
