Do overseas credit card consumption and domestic repayment account for foreign exchange quota?
According to your repayment method, if you repay in RMB, it will not be included in the foreign exchange quota, but if you repay in foreign currency, it will be included in the foreign exchange quota.

First of all, find out whether the credit card in your hand is single currency or double currency. When swiping a card overseas, if you use a dual-currency credit card to swipe your card at a merchant marked with UnionPay VISA or Master or JCB, you can ask to swipe your card in RMB, otherwise it will be settled in foreign currency by default. If you use UnionPay single-currency credit card, foreign countries can only use merchants with UnionPay logo to brush RMB for settlement.

Secondly, foreign currency consumption needs to be repaid in foreign exchange after returning to China. According to the regulations of domestic banks, credit cards used for foreign currency consumption must be converted into equivalent foreign currency before repayment can be made. If the foreign currency is repaid directly in RMB, the consumer bank only defaults to this repayment, and the money owed by RMB becomes overpayment.

Thirdly, we should know that foreign currency consumption does not support installment, and many people are under great pressure to pay back money when they go shopping abroad. They want to pay in installments to relieve the pressure. At present, banks do not support foreign currency installment. If consumption abroad uses RMB, it can apply for installment payment after returning to China, but it can't be repaid by installment if it uses foreign currency.
