For various reasons, it is necessary to receive foreign remittances in China as an individual. Can cross-border payment be made under the current strict supervision? Is there a limit on the amount?
In fact, foreign exchange remittances can always be received in China, but there are some different regulations on whether overseas remitters are individuals or companies:
1. Remittance from overseas personal account: If the funds do not involve securities investment, trade payment, etc. They are usually acceptable.
2. Remittance from overseas company account: you need to contact the bank card opening bank to confirm whether it can be received. For example, if you are receiving a remittance from GoogleAdSense, and the other party is Google, and it is a company account remittance, you need to call the one-card bank to confirm.
Other provisions:
1. When the amount of a single remittance exceeds the equivalent of US$ 5,000, it needs to be declared;
2. China Merchants Bank does not charge a handling fee for the collection of accounts through China Merchants Bank. However, if there are fees charged by overseas intermediary banks, the funds may not reach China Merchants Bank in full.
