The word China Bank was originally inscribed by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, but the inscription on the business building of Bank of China Shanghai Branch (formerly China Bank Head Office) is still Dr. Sun Yat-sen's original name. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, the styles and formats of bank names in China were different. Nan, the governor of China People's Bank, became the governor of China Bank, and felt it necessary to unify the style of China Bank. He asked the famous calligrapher Mr. Guo Moruo (1892 ~ 1978) to re-inscribe it.
