Introduction to the Bleak Lands and the Dusty Swamp
1. The Bleak Lands
The Bleak Lands is a bleak, remote and desolate land. It is located on the western coast of Kalimdor, north of Firas, west of Mogore and south of the Stoneclaw Mountains. The land here is dry and gray, and for the most part barren - except for the trolls near Felas or the Alliance near the Stoneclaw Mountains who are trying to maintain the small area around their temporary settlement.
There are a few foul pools scattered here and there. The northern, southern, and eastern edges of this area are fringed by mountain ranges, which contain a few passages and caves that serve as habitat for the centaurs here. The northwestern coast borders the ocean, while the southern coast is mountainous.
2. Dusty Swamp
The geography of the Dusty Swamp is, as the name suggests, a large, smelly swamp. Players can find mire, wetlands, and other goodies here. The entire region is a low-lying transition zone that connects the Endless Sea, located to the east, to the Barren Lands, located to the northwest. The southern part of the Dusty Mire is adjacent to the Thousand Needles Stone Forest, but a small mountain range straddles it, making it difficult to travel to and from directly.
