Yunnan University was founded in 1922 as a private Donglu University, 1934 changed its name to provincial Yunnan University, and 1938 changed its name to national Yunnan University. It is one of the earliest comprehensive universities in the western frontier of China.

/kloc-0 was listed in the first batch of national "2 1 1 project" key construction universities in 1996, in 2006, in 5438+0, in 2004, in the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Yunnan Province, and in 2065, in 438+07, it became the first batch of 42 "first-class universities" in China.

The strength of Yunnan University

There are 79 undergraduate majors in Yunnan University, including 17 undergraduate majors in the national "Double Hundred Thousand" plan, 13 undergraduate majors in the provincial "Double Hundred Thousand" plan, 12 undergraduate majors with national characteristics, 6 "elite classes" and "excellent classes"/kloc-0.

There are 2/kloc-0 first-class doctoral degrees, 42 first-class master's degrees and 22 professional master's degrees. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, 30 disciplines in the school have entered the top 70% of the country.
