What is the area of the summer resort?
The summer resort, also known as Jehol Palace and Divorce Palace, was built from the 42nd year of Kangxi (1703) to the 57th year of Qianlong (1792). It was developed from the Zhonglu Palace where the Qing emperor went hunting in Mulan paddock, covering an area of 5.64 square kilometers and the circumference of the palace wall was nearly 10,000 meters. It is the largest existing royal garden in China. The whole villa consists of a palace and a garden view. There are four groups of buildings in the palace area: the main palace, the East Palace, the Song Hezhai and Wanhe Song Feng, which are the places where the emperor handles court affairs and life. The garden scenic area is divided into three areas: mountains, grass and lakes. The mountains in the northwest are undulating, and the mountains overlap in the north of Luming Literature, where there are vast fields and grassy yurts, which is a Mongolian grassland scenery; Southeast pavilions are strewn at random, with green willows and blue waves, just like Zeguo in the south of the Yangtze River. The whole garden scene is full of the aura of beautiful mountains and rivers, the essence of north and south gardens, and the scene is picturesque, just like the epitome of China mountains and rivers. There are 184 scenes in the villa, and there are 88 existing scenes, which are like pearls embedded in beautiful mountains and rivers. Among them, there are 36 scenes named after Kangxi and 36 scenes named after Qianlong. The Summer Resort is the second political center of the Qing Dynasty, which is of great political significance to safeguarding national unity and consolidating Ansai Xinjiang.
