On July 20th, the Standard Data Set of Gastric Cancer (version 20 19) was released in GGSA Big Data Seminar of Southern (Guangdong) Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Surgery Alliance and Flower City of Southern Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Tumors Discussion. The data set was compiled by the General Surgery Department of Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, and was built by Yi Duyun as the technical support, which laid a solid foundation for improving the quality and efficiency of medical artificial intelligence research in gastrointestinal tumor surgery.

The "GGSA Big Data Seminar of Southern (Guangdong) Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Surgery Alliance and the Discussion of Southern Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Tumors Flower City" jointly organized by Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, China Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery Research Group (Class) and Southern (Guangdong) Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Surgery Alliance was grandly opened in Guangzhou on July 20th. This conference is a grand gathering of academic exchanges in the fields of gastrointestinal surgery and artificial intelligence in China, which has attracted great attention from doctors, scholars and experts in the fields of general surgery and artificial intelligence in gastroenterology at home and abroad.

The standard data set of gastric cancer (version 20 19) was also officially released at the meeting. This standard data set was compiled by Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, several top hospitals in the United Nations, China Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery Research Group (Class), South (Guangdong) Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Surgery Alliance (GGSA) and experts, professors, backbone doctors and technicians from many industries, and was released by Yiduyun as technical support.

At the press conference, Professor Li Guoxin, Vice President of Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, as the initiator of big data construction in gastrointestinal surgery, delivered a wonderful speech. Li Guoxin said that gastric cancer is a malignant tumor disease that poses a great threat to national health. The establishment of the guide manual for the classification and labeling of gastric cancer big data, Standard Data Set of Gastric Cancer (version 20 19), will play an inestimable role in improving the quality and efficiency of medical artificial intelligence research and the level of clinical detection, diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer. It is hoped that organizing the compilation of gastric cancer standard data set (version 20 19) will help to promote the development of medical artificial intelligence era and take a firm and correct step for implementing the national "Healthy China 2030 Strategy" and standardization strategy.

Associate Professor Hu Yanfeng, Deputy Director of General Surgery, Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, presented the contents, patient demographic information, postoperative recovery and complications, follow-up indicators and reference standards of the Standard Data Set of Gastric Cancer (20 19 Edition) to the guests, and introduced the participating units and personnel composition, formulation process and progress of the Standard Data Set of Gastric Cancer.

The standard data set of gastric cancer (version 20 19) is an important basis for establishing data standards, which is conducive to the unification and interoperability of data structures and standards of gastric cancer between hospitals and promotes the application and popularization of gastric cancer in the field of medical artificial intelligence.
