God bless you or Bless you can be used in two ways.
1. When a friend is suffering from an affliction or illness, or a mental shock, you would go over to him and pat him on the shoulder and say.
Example sentence: May God bless you. God bless you, everything will be all right.
2. Or if a friend is going somewhere, to some event, the same usage applies.
Example sentence: May God bless you!
3, when praying for or blessing others, if someone says "bless?you!" to you when you sneeze, he is praying for you! Reply with "thank?you!".
(According to the western legend, sneezing spews out the soul, and to prevent the devil from attacking, the person next to the sneezer will say: Bless?you. or God?bless?you.)
Expanded: 1. Usage 1: The basic meaning is "to ask God or God's blessing on someone or something", which is related to religious worship.
