Legal analysis: solving the practical difficulties of ex-servicemen's life and responding to their demands in a timely manner are important measures for implementing the law on the protection of ex-servicemen. Adhering to the problem-oriented approach, we have continued to improve the level of services and protection in response to the difficulties and problems of ex-servicemen. First, optimize the construction of service stations for veterans, and open up the "last kilometer" of services and protection for veterans. Secondly, we will speed up the pace of veterans' record-keeping. In the era of big data, information construction is the basis of the service guarantee of veterans, veteran identification, life assistance, preferential treatment and so on should be traceable.

Legal basis: "Chinese People's **** and the State Veterans Protection Law" Article 1 In order to strengthen the protection of veterans, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of veterans, so that the military has become a profession respected by society as a whole, in accordance with the Constitution, the formulation of this law.

Article 2 The term "retired military personnel" as used in this Law refers to officers, non-commissioned officers and conscripts who have been withdrawn from active service from the Chinese People's Liberation Army in accordance with the law.

Article 3 Ex-servicemen have made important contributions to national defense and military construction, and are an important force in the construction of socialist modernization. Respecting and caring for veterans is the ****same responsibility of the whole society. The State cares for and favors veterans, strengthens the construction of a security system for veterans, and guarantees that veterans enjoy corresponding rights and interests in accordance with the law.

Article 4 The security work for veterans adheres to the leadership of the Chinese ****anufacturing Party, adheres to the policy of serving economic and social development and national defense and military construction, and follows the principles of people-oriented, categorized security, priority of service, and management in accordance with the law.

Article 5 The protection of veterans shall be coordinated with economic development and compatible with social progress. The resettlement of veterans shall be open, fair and just. The political, living and other treatment of veterans shall be linked to the contributions they made during their active service. The state establishes a special preferential treatment mechanism for war veterans.
