Hunan University of Finance and Economics, located in Changsha, Hunan Province, is a full-time undergraduate institution sponsored by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, and is the "Excellent Pilot Unit of National Standard for Big Data", It is the "Excellent Pilot Unit of National Standard for Big Data" and the "Pilot Project Unit of Education E-Government" of the Ministry of Education.

As of June 2022, the university has two campuses, covering a total area of 760.35 acres, with a library collection of more than 1.65 million books and more than 540,000 e-books; it has 15 secondary institutes and 46 undergraduate majors; there are 1,360 faculty and staff members, and 19,552 full-time undergraduate students.
