Intelligent building specialty is a new engineering specialty based on civil engineering specialty, facing the national strategic needs and the upgrading and transformation of the construction industry, and integrating computer and information technology, control mechanism principle, Internet of Things, big data and engineering management.

Tongji University was approved on 20 18, becoming the first university in China to offer intelligent building specialty. As the second batch, north china university of technology Institute of Civil Engineering started enrolling students in Intelligent Building on 20 19. Science and engineering, the standard academic system is four years, and the bachelor of engineering degree is awarded.
