What is digitization?
Generally speaking, digitalization is the process of converting information into digital (that is, computer readable) format.
Including data collection, transmission, storage, calculation and application, refers to the process of transforming all kinds of complex and changeable information into measurable data and processing it.

So what is digital transformation?
Digital transformation refers to the process that enterprises use the new generation of digital technology to link the physical information of a production and operation link and even the whole business process to form valuable digital assets, and finally give enterprises commercial value through calculation and feedback of effective information.

Why should enterprises carry out digital transformation?
This is a complicated topic. You can talk for a long time if you want, and chatting with friends is often asked. I usually answer three words "live". Because you don't transform, you will be eliminated. Just like today, you can pay without Alipay or WeChat, because there are still paper money, which is a bit troublesome, but when the country implements digital legal tender, everyone is using it. You say no, how can you live? How to do business? The reason is the same, so I won't say much for the time being.
Influenced by chatting with an old customer (also an old friend) yesterday, let me summarize some misunderstandings in the process of enterprise digitalization. I believe this is quite common, because some customers around us have encountered it and have deep misunderstandings.

Myth 1: it is the person who promotes and leads the digital transformation of enterprises.
If so, who do you think is the "promoter" or "leader" of a company's digital transformation? CTO? Or CEO? Most people choose "CTO", and those without "CTO" choose IT personnel. In fact, only "CEO" can promote and lead the digital transformation of enterprises, because the digital transformation of enterprises is a "strategic action" rather than a "tactical action". Transformation is generally divided into two parts. First, the construction of infrastructure, which we call digital infrastructure, such as deploying data-based devices such as clouds (private clouds and public clouds); The other is the Guidelines, which, if implemented in enterprises, will be accompanied by a series of management system construction and optimization of the existing management system. Because digital transformation will be accompanied by changes in business processes and business development, and even some enterprises will bring subversion of business models. Based on these, if it is not the CEO of the enterprise, who can promote it? ! This is also the reason why many enterprises encounter many difficulties in digital transformation and finally get nothing. At best, they just changed their office style, because the people who led this change were wrong. Of course, other reasons are not excluded, but I believe this is a big reason.

Myth 2: Network security is a secondary issue in digital transformation.
From the experience of the projects we have done, most enterprises are lagging behind in the consideration of security issues during the digital transformation, and think that network security issues will be considered only after the digital transformation is completed. I feel that the problem of network security is a supporting role, not a subsidiary. In fact, on the contrary, network security is the cornerstone, foundation and necessary condition for the success of digital transformation. Digital construction without overall network security planning is like a building built on quicksand, which can't stand the test, not to mention what kind of external risks it faces, and it is in a dangerous place itself.
Today, the network environment in the digital age we live in is much more severe than that in the early days of the Internet, even an order of magnitude. In the past, it was only petty theft that attacked some computer viruses, even if the threat was only a personal computer. After all, the degree of digitization was not high at that time, and most core businesses and data were not "digitized". Now that the attack is successful, it will be "destroyed" because the degree of digitization is too high and the cost is the biggest. I'm sure you've heard more or less about the experiences of some companies ... In short, if you don't make a good safety plan in the digital transformation, it will undoubtedly build a "warehouse" for "others".

Myth 3: Network security equipment is strong enough to be safe enough.
The person who said this must have never been beaten, but people who think like this are really common and represent the status quo of a large part of enterprises. The same is true of the old customers mentioned above. Enterprises are engaged in the research and development of high-precision medical devices, and the data security of research and development results is the first. For enterprises with more than 300 employees, the initial investment in digital construction has exceeded 4 million per year for two consecutive years, and the annual investment in digital security maintenance of enterprises has exceeded 6.5438+0 million (most of which is the investment in equipment renewal). It must be said that the investment in safety equipment will bring certain security, but it is by no means unique, because you are facing "people" in the security contest, and people have subjective initiative. Today, no matter how awesome the security door is, you can always find a way to open it, just how long it takes. In other words, you may not face a person, but a group of people who stare at you every day. No matter how awesome the safety equipment is, it is also made by people, and there will be loopholes. If there is a loophole, it may be found. That's it. So, don't put all your hopes on the equipment, but it is necessary to add or update safety equipment, which is better than nothing. Someone needs to continue to look for "loopholes" and plug them in time. This is not what you understand it to do, but what security experts do.
In addition, let's talk about "people". Just now, in "Misunderstanding 1", we talked about another reason why CEO leads the digital transformation, which is also considered from the security aspect. That is, when implementing the employee-oriented safety management system, don't just pay attention to resisting external attacks and ignore the cultivation of internal employees' safety literacy.

The above is also a brief talk about my personal views. The problems encountered in digital transformation are far more than these.
In short,
We are about to usher in a great change of the times, and our work and life will also undergo great changes. Whether as an individual or as an enterprise, we should actively embrace "it" and at the same time require us to actively prepare.
Believe: Numbers create a better life!
