First of all, Tsinghua and Peking University are very different from each other, Tsinghua is based on engineering, while Peking University is based on basic disciplines (arts and sciences), and NPC's strength is in the liberal arts. So if you compare directly, then NPC's liberal arts are better than Tsinghua's in some aspects (such as faculty, accumulation and maybe even employment in some majors), but NPC is basically inferior to Peking University in all disciplines (because of the relatively repetitive positioning, both are basic theory institutions).

Of course, from an individual's point of view, NPC is generally quite a bit lower than Peking University and Tsinghua's admissions line, and that's its biggest advantage. The same score, fill in the NPC will allow you to have more choices: I have had students around me over the Peking University's admission line, but because they want to read economics and management majors, and there is still a distance from Peking University's economics and management, chose to fill in the NPC thing (and ultimately succeeded in entering the experimental class of economics and management, the outlook is very good). NPC has some popular liberal arts majors of faculty and level of not far from Peking University, but the score will be quite a bit lower, so it is in the university hope to read the liberal arts students a very good choice.
