In the face of the city's traffic carrying capacity approaching its limit, online dating crowding out road resources, and the tidal changes in travel demand, Tik-Tok has chosen a different path to solve the problem. By not adding additional vehicles to dig layer efficiency method, to empower the old industry, rather than to subvert it, through digital transformation and technical support, to contribute to the cruising cab operating efficiency improvement.

I have been engaged in mobile travel for more than 7 years, this industry has a history of 9 years in China, the most intuitive feeling is that more and more online car, calling a car is more and more convenient, the past traditional cruiser, because of the lack of supply, the situation of the difficulty of people to get a car to be alleviated to a certain extent, but it also brings new problems, such as the efficiency of the travel, the enhancement of the very limited, you want to get a car faster, you have to invest more in the network of cars, the more you want to get a car, you have to invest more in the network of cars, you have to invest more in the network of cars. The new car is not only a good way to get around, but also a good way to get around, so you have to invest in more online cars, and at the same time, more online cars on the road is becoming more and more congested, many foreign drivers driving in the city, you can only rely on the navigation, because there is no familiarity with every road.
We believe that the two fundamental challenges of urban transportation, one is the carrying capacity of China's road traffic infrastructure approaching the limit of use, according to the data in June this year, there are now 74 cities in the country, the number of motor vehicles retained more than 1 million units, more than 6 million units in Beijing, there are a number of cities more than 5 million units, if every family puts their own private cars on the road, we basically do not have to go out. In addition to the particularly long commute to work in Beijing, the average road congestion in major cities across the country reaches 39 minutes, and the average commute time reaches more than one hour.
The third is more inefficient, China's private car has 233 million units, we see more is one person, one car travel, that is, at least two thirds of the seats in each car is empty, in fact, this is a great waste, so from the national development strategy, is not to encourage the individual motorized travel, the state encourages or intensified travel, the subway, public transport, but there is still a A part of the users, they are used to use four-wheeled vehicles. So we get the first conclusion is that by increasing the number of vehicles on the road to meet the demand for more travel is unsustainable, we have also seen the recent changes in the network car industry, the state has a new management approach to the development of the network car industry, it is unlikely that unlimited investment in the future to solve the problem of difficult to get a taxi, we all know that a cab or a network car on the road is 10 times more than a private car, taxis are running 24 hours a day. We all know that a taxi or an online car takes up 10 times more road space than a private car. Taxis run 24 hours a day, and online cars run 10 to 20 hours a day, which is a very serious squeeze on road resources.
The second problem, travel demand has obvious tidal changes, commuting, peak period, the morning peak 3-4 hours, the evening peak 2-3 hours, very congested, we use what taxi software is not easy to call a car, but in the peak period, the trough is very easy to call a car, this time, rely on the input of the vehicle can not be solved, as if the Spring Festival to buy high-speed rail tickets, the Spring Festival, many people can not buy tickets, it is difficult to buy tickets. Many people can not buy a ticket, it is difficult to buy, because if the Spring Festival when everyone manpower a ticket very smoothly, it means that during the weekdays, our high-speed rail is idle a lot, so this is not very good to solve the problem.
So we get the second small conclusion is that the commercial supply of travel there is no way to solve the challenge of vehicle tidal changes by increasing the supply of input vehicles, Tik-Tok travel how to do it, to share with you our practice.
How does Tik-Tok travel do it, we after more than seven years of development, there are 205 million users in the country, more than 10 million certified private car private car owners in our platform, if the number of users and the number of APP settlement, we are the country's second largest travel platform, which may be out of everyone's expectation, our company does not have a network of cars, our company's business is the hitchhike and taxis. and cabs, and cabs have traditional cruising cabs.
Our strategy is to say that by not adding additional vehicles to dig layers of efficiency methods, to empower the old industry, rather than to subvert it, the network car and cruiser has actually been contradictory, the traditional industry that the network car is just disruptive, first destroy the old industry, and then establish a new industry, we are not to go down this road.
Hitchhiking, our users, our owners, drivers actually on our platform, will not call the hitchhiker driver called "driver", between our owners and passengers, it is a reciprocal relationship, and is not the service provider and the served, or the service provider or the service purchaser, so that the social relationship This is our development strategy, in our cab new travel travel strategy, this is another solution path for commercial travel, cruising cabs are about 50-55 million orders a day, the total transaction volume of a year more than The total transaction volume for a year exceeds RMB 500 billion, and how many online taxis are there? So the result, the traditional cruisers feel a lot of pressure to operate, because each driver's daily operating water dropped 30%, the competition is very fierce, and continue to invest in the network car, engaged in the network car drivers are also under great pressure, the cake is so big, the industry has to do with the addition and subtraction of the place to do the addition is that the city is getting more and more congested, parking is more and more expensive and more and more inconvenient. So what we are doing now is, for the traditional cruiser, there are about 1.5 million units in the country, we empower it, the traditional cruiser, it is a relatively backward traditional industry, for example, when we go out to take a taxi, why not a cruiser, because you take a taxi on the side of the road, waiting for the car, I do not know how long you have to wait before you can stop a car, can not solve your sense of anxiety, especially when catching a plane or high-speed rail, need to be a car to catch a plane to catch a plane, and then you have to wait for a car, and then you have to wait for a car. Especially when catching a plane or high-speed train, you need a certainty of how many minutes there will be a car to catch your plane or high-speed train, so we are now in some pilot cities, such as Xi'an, we have put more than 13,000 cars in the city of Xi'an, the car machine through, so that our users don't need to download any apps, just through the cab smart travel assistant can see all the empty cars around you, and you can not have to enter the destination, one-click. And you don't have to enter the destination, a key call, solving the problem of the elderly across the digital divide, we have been doing it in Xi'an for three years, at present, there are close to 20 cities in the country signed with us, including Guangzhou is being implemented, Guangzhou should have the first phase of the 8,000 cars to join, as well as Qiqihar, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Jinan.
The benefits of this project, and everyone understands the integration of patrol network is not the same place, the traditional idea is to rely on the cruiser to increase the net order this function, to achieve the cab industry orders to increase, we believe that this model, unsustainable, if you have the money to subsidize the certainty of a lot of orders, if there is no money to subsidize the user or will not choose you, the simple truth is that the net car is to send single The simple truth is that the net car is a single, cruiser is a single, single is mandatory to send you, you must go to pick up, cruiser to cruise on the road to pick up the guests, travel platform is not aware of a car there are no guests, the net car travel platform is aware of the car there are no guests, which leads to the two single mode is not the same, no matter which platform to call the cruiser, the probability of answering the answer is 50 percent.
If you are going to the airport, is a large order, for the driver, many people are willing to pick up, but if you go to 3, 5 kilometers away, the cab is less willing to pick up, he felt too much trouble, he cruised on the road when the roadside are beckoning orders, open the door to get on the car, very quickly. So we have to solve the traditional cruiser industry accounts for more than 90% of the industry, how to digital transformation and upgrading, to improve the user experience, in Xi'an is to do so, but also achieved some results, before we do, cruiser and net car should be 55% to 45%, now cruiser and net car share ratio became 65% to 35%, that is to say, a plus and a minus, and now cruiser and net car share ratio of 65% to 35%, that is, a plus and a minus. Now the share of cruisers is 20% higher than that of online cars. We believe that traditional industries can be revitalized through technological empowerment, so through growth, naturally online orders will also grow, which is a very different solution to the idea that we are very different from other travel platforms.
The second business is the hitchhiking business, hitchhiking is more than cheap, now the concept of some experts do not quite understand, the real hitchhiking must be based on the premise of the owner's self out of the car, not for the purpose of making a profit, that is to say, if you want to drive to a certain place, regardless of whether the passengers do not carry passengers this trip will occur, which is really hitchhiking, but if you want to transport me to make me a few tens of dollars to send me, which is the Don't hitchhike, so hitchhiking does enhance efficiency, reduce the road one person one car, if there are people home two, in order to solve the traffic problem, must buy two cars, the old man to open one, the wife to open one, with hitchhiking, don't have to open two cars, the husband will be able to pick up someone else, the wife's car is the other person's car, so that the social relationship is also quite harmonious, and on the road congestion In terms of road congestion, there is a decline. As of now, there are 233 million private cars, every day will produce hundreds of millions of empty seats, if you can use these empty seats, I think for the reduction of vehicles on the road, energy saving and emission reduction is a great help.
In the wave of carbon neutrality, we believe that the transportation industry also needs new ideas. The transportation industry accounts for 15% of China's carbon emissions, and private cars account for another 41%, so how to reduce the carbon emissions of private cars, this is a matter of concern for everyone. In our case, we set standards with the Shanghai Energy Conservation Institute and the Legendary Society, and what we can do is to carpool through Tik-Tok Travel, users can get carbon points, and later can also do transactions like businesses, we have measured the data from 2020, observing that on our platform, users carpooling in accordance with the new standard of the group standard, the user is about 800,000 tons of carbon reduction, or roughly 7.5 billion square meters. billion square meters, just occupies four-wheeled travel 8,000 single 1%, if this proportion is raised by 5%, raised by 10%, the carbon reduction is a very good effect.
The topic of carbon reduction has also received a lot of attention from key media, including Learning Power, People's Daily, China's new energy newspaper, everyone is very concerned about a variety of heavyweight media, but also more and more experts, the media will pay attention to promote the better development of this industry, in the field of cabs, how do we do it, in Xi'an, then, there is a relatively high rate of idling of the traditional drivers, a car One day there are close to 40% of the cruise, sweeping the road waiting for the next customer, this sweeping the road depends on the driver's past experience, the driver knows where to wait for someone at which intersection, there are some drivers run completely blind, get a city passing cab data and real-time data, through big data algorithms to help drivers provide intelligent cruise program, whether the driver is a new driver or an old driver, through our intelligent cruise program will be in accordance with the route, the driver will be able to provide intelligent cruise program. Intelligent cruising program in accordance with the route will be able to calculate a few minutes at which intersection will have a car, reduce the idling rate, do this project before the idling rate of Xi'an reached more than 35%, and now only 22% of the idling rate, improve the driver's daily operating efficiency, reduce his idling rate, but also can reduce carbon emissions.
For cabs, many cities are now replacing many of their cabs with new ones, providing technical support to help measure how much carbon reduction can be achieved.
