Chinese Yuntong and Bosch open cooperation on battery cloud management system

On February 26, BuyCar.com learned that at the recently held Bosch Internet of Things Conference BCW in Berlin, Germany, Chinese Yuntong and Bosch signed an agreement that the two sides will ****together promote cooperation in the field of cloud management system for new-generation power batteries.

It is understood that this technology can connect EV batteries to the cloud, extend battery life by about 20%, and significantly improve battery reliability. At the same time, this cooperation on cloud-based batteries will provide a powerful complement to the battery management system of the first model of Chinese Express, the HiPhi1, which has the ability to learn and upgrade itself. It is reported that the High Hopper HiPhi?1 will realize small-volume trial production by the end of 2020.

Ding Lei, Chairman of Chinese Yuntong, said, "Bosch is a leading global supplier of automotive and intelligent transportation technologies, with a deep accumulation in the development and application of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), preventive diagnosis based on IoT big data, remote control of electric vehicles and their big data solutions, and autonomous driving. Chinese Express develops and mass-produces future-oriented truly intelligent vehicles, an open platform that can evolve itself through continuous learning to better understand and serve consumers. Therefore, as early as April 2019, Chinese Express and Bosch reached a strategic agreement on FOTA (Firmware Over-the-Air Upgrade) solution, to carry out in-depth cooperation in the whole vehicle firmware over-the-air upgrade system and remote diagnostic business of High Hopper HiPhi?1."

Elmar Pritsch, global president of Bosch's Intelligent Network Division, said, "China Express is a technology innovation company focusing on the future of mobility, and on the "Three Wisdom" strategy of smart cars, smart transportation and smart cities. Over the years, Chinese American Express and Bosch have maintained close cooperation and are committed to introducing the most advanced intelligent network technology into the HiPhi?1. Today, the two companies will further strengthen their cooperation by connecting the hardware of the car to the services in the cloud, turning the car into a truly intelligent mobility tool. Based on Bosch's FOTA and cloud-based battery in cooperation with Chinese Express, the High Hopper HiPhi?1 will also be able to derive remote diagnostics and other smart internet functions in the future to better serve consumers."
