Smart helmet consists of traditional helmet (cap shell, cap liner, under-chin strap, back hoop) and intelligent electronic module, which contains microprocessor or micro-controller, with functions of data acquisition, storage and calculation and wireless communication.

The smart helmet has the following functions:

1) It can monitor the behavior of site personnel not wearing helmets.

2) It can monitor abnormal behavior such as personnel falling to the ground.

3) It has GPS positioning function.

4) There is a one-button SOS distress function.

5) There are data acquisition, local storage, computing and wireless transmission capabilities.
