Emperor Genealogy of the Qin Dynasty

First Emperor Winzheng

(259-210 BC)

He was crowned in 247 BC, and reigned for 37 years

The first emperor of the Qin dynasty was surnamed Winzheng, the son of King Zhuangxiang of Qin, who was a foreigner.

From 230 BC to 221 BC, Qin conquered the six kingdoms of Han, Zhao, Wei, Chu, Yan and Qi, and unified the world.

After the unification of the country, he proclaimed himself emperor, and through a series of unification measures, he established an authoritarian centralized power system, implemented the county system, and standardized weights and measures, which were all major initiatives in the history of China.

Qin Ershi Hu Hai

(230-207 BC)

He came to the throne in 209 BC, and reigned for 3 years

Qin Ershi, surnamed Winnie Hu Hai, the 18th son of Shihuang, died in the dunes after Shihuang's tour, and Zhao Gao, a eunuch, and the prime minister, Li Si, tampered with his posthumous edict to make Hu Hai the emperor, and gave him the gift of death to Fusu.

After Qin Ershi's accession to the throne, the eunuch Zhao Gao took the reins of power and practiced brutal and inhumane rule, which finally provoked the peasant revolts of Chen Sheng and Wu Guang in the first 209 years of Qin's reign.

The Second Qin Emperor Hu Hai was killed by Zhao Gao in 207 BC, at the age of 24.
