On July 4, the National Internet Information Office issued a notice saying that the "Didi Chuxing" APP had serious problems in collecting and using personal information illegally. According to the relevant provisions of the Network Security Law of the People's Republic of China, the National Internet Information Office informed the application store to remove the "Didi Chuxing" app, requiring "Didi Chuxing" to strictly follow the legal requirements and refer to relevant national standards, seriously rectify the existing problems and effectively protect users' personal information security.
For this matter, some media have different interpretations these two days. Here, I also want to talk about my personal views.
Judging from the "Announcement" and "Circular", although the text is not long, it still reveals a lot of important information:
First, Didi Chuxing has serious violations of laws and regulations in collecting personal information. Although we don't know what information it has collected that should not be collected at present, everyone who has used Didi knows that the information collected by Didi should include at least two parts, one is the information filled in when downloading the APP, and the other is the information when using Didi. Buy a car. In the collection of this information, there should be acts with or without personal consent, or the information collected is beyond the scope of permission.
Second, "Didi Chuxing" has serious violations of laws and regulations when using personal information. What illegal things it has done when using personal information remains to be announced, but at least it should include improper analysis or improper commercial use of personal information data. To give a small example, for example, when I often use the Didi special car, I always feel that I am suspected of being "killed". Usually, the journey of more than 5 kilometers starts from 30 yuan, and sometimes rises to 47 yuan after 9 o'clock. However, whether this situation is "killing" or because of the price increase during the period remains to be judged after the results of the survey are announced.
All in all, the main reason for Didi's trip being investigated this time is illegal, and some media have made more guesses about it. Some people even say that this time it is specifically for Didi's trip, and it is impossible to talk about the essence of the matter. (On July 5th, the Network Security Review Office launched the network security reviews of "Yunmanman", "Truck Gang" and "BOSS Direct Employment")
However, this incident is a wake-up call for automobile enterprises that are transforming into "new four modernizations". At present, with the rapid development of smart electric vehicles, many auto companies also let users download APP, monitor the running status of cars 24 hours a day, and collect all kinds of information of users in cars, thus forming their own big data and gradually transforming big data into their own core competitiveness. In this process, which users' personal information can be collected and which ones can't? What information can and cannot be used after collection? What information can be used commercially and what can't be used commercially? These are all very important issues that need to be screened.
It is hoped that automobile companies will check their behavior according to the relevant requirements of national laws and regulations, combined with the cases of illegal collection and use of personal information by companies such as Didi Chuxing. I don't think the censorship of companies such as Didi Chuxing will limit the development of automobile intelligence. I believe that after these risks are eliminated, there will be better development under the premise of ensuring the safety of users' personal information. Only by truly eliminating risks and complying with laws and regulations can the road of transformation and development of automobile enterprises be more stable, faster, better and farther.
