Cultivation Objectives: The program cultivates professionals who are able to use the German language to engage in translation, teaching, research, and management in diplomatic affairs, foreign affairs, economics and trade, culture, press and publication, education, scientific research, and tourism. This program is designed to train German language professionals who are skilled in translation, teaching, research and management in the fields of diplomacy, foreign affairs, economic and trade, culture, press and publication, education, scientific research and tourism.
Cultivation Requirements: Students of this program mainly study the basic knowledge of language, literature, history, politics, economy, diplomacy, society and culture of German-speaking countries, receive good skills training in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating in German, and master certain scientific research methods, so that they can engage in translating, teaching, researching and managing with high business level, good overall quality and strong ability.
Graduates are expected to acquire the following knowledge and abilities:
1. a solid foundation in the German language and proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translating;
2. specialized knowledge of German language and literature and other related professional knowledge;
3. strong cross-cultural communication skills, and the ability to express and communicate well in German on the situation of their own country and culture;
4. a good understanding of the German language and culture.

The number of hours of German professional skills courses should be no less than 60% of the total number of hours of professional education courses, and the number of hours of German professional knowledge courses should account for about 25,010 of the total number of hours of professional education.

The practical teaching of this program is reflected in classroom teaching as well as extracurricular learning and practice activities. Extracurricular learning and practice is the extension and expansion of classroom teaching, and is an important way to cultivate the development of students' abilities.
