Intelligent robots are called intelligent robots because they have a fairly well-developed "brain". In the brain there is a central processor, a computer that is directly connected to the person who operates it. The main thing is that such a computer can perform actions that are organized according to the purpose. It is for this reason that we say that such robots are real robots, even though they may look different.
The intelligent robot understands human language, talks to the operator in it, and in its own "consciousness" forms a separate and detailed model of the external environment - the actual situation - that allows it to "live".
It analyzes the situation, adjusts its actions to all the requirements of the operator, formulates the desired actions, and performs them under conditions of insufficient information and rapid changes in the environment. Of course, it is impossible to make it think exactly as we do. Still, there are attempts to create some kind of "microcosm" that computers can understand.
Expanded:
Most experts believe that intelligent robots must have at least the following three elements:
One is the sensory element, which is used to recognize the state of the surrounding environment.
The second is the motor element, which is used to make reactive movements to the outside world.
Third is the thinking element, which is used to think out what kind of action to adopt based on the information obtained from the feeling element.
The sensory elements include non-contact sensors that sense vision, proximity, distance, and so on, and contact sensors that sense force, pressure, touch, and so on.
These elements are essentially the equivalent of the human eye, nose, ear and other five senses, and their functions can be realized by using electromechanical components such as cameras, image sensors, ultrasonic transmitters, lasers, conductive rubbers, piezoelectric elements, pneumatic components, travel switches and other components.
For the locomotion element, the intelligent robot needs to have a trackless type of moving mechanism to adapt to different geographical environments such as flat ground, steps, walls, stairs, ramps, etc.
