CE: We are concerned that the investment industry throughout the first half of the year has been cautious, with some calling it ? The cold winter of capital? How long do you think this winter will last?

Xu Xiaoping: I said five years ago that the winter of VC is the spring of angel. Angels are actually low valuation investors, poor investors. If VC encounters a winter, it's good for us. With low valuation, entrepreneurs are closer to the essence of entrepreneurship. The essence of entrepreneurship is not that I'm a bully, high valuation, but in how much money I need? How much to do? Xu Xiaoping: I'm not satisfied now, I'm very unsatisfied now, when I see a lot of excellent entrepreneurial enterprises quickly rise, bring joy to people, bring value, bring profits, I found that we are not inside, I have a sense of loss and frustration, and no matter what I did yesterday? I always feel like I need to catch another DDT today, another Meituan, and without it, I'm in perpetual torment and pain. Those who don't know me say I'm worried, those who know me say what do I want? What do I seek? CE: You seem to have talked about wanting to find an investment criteria with a market capitalization of over $100 billion. Now do you think if there is such an opportunity down the road, what area might it be in? Where are the unicorns?

Xu Xiaoping: I have spoken similar words, the biggest dream of investors lies in investing in a BAT, investing in a millet. Every project we invest in, I think it is a unicorn, I do not dare to say that every project has a 100 billion dollar possibility, every project in my investment, I think it should be the possibility of 1 billion dollars, otherwise it will not be invested. So what is the significance of this dream? Its significance lies in the fact that every entrepreneur comes here, and I use money to give him proof, and I use money to endorse him, saying that this is a billion dollar dream. Angel investors are the check signers of the entrepreneurial Chinese dream. But in the field of artificial intelligence, there is no doubt (I am very optimistic). I think AI itself is an aggregator of various disciplines, such as big data, computer vision, and we have a lot of investment in all of these areas. Maybe the first five years of the business model is more sought after, whether it is B2C, or O2O, etc. Now, in everyone's impression, this kind of pure business model innovation, this kind of business model innovation based on the Internet has reached a bottleneck? Do you value the business model more now, or the technological innovation?

Xu Xiaoping: I totally agree with this point of view. In fact, the entire Internet ecosystem has been three kingdoms, the powers have been established today, you have to rely purely on the model to innovate, it is more and more difficult. You have to have the kind of innovation that the great powers would perish themselves if they did.
