Digital nomadism
Digital nomads are a kind of people who use telecommunication technology to make a living. More generally, they live in a nomadic way.
Simply put, a group of smart people use the Internet to make money:) A brand-new way of life is actually very popular in the West!
As long as you like, the whole world can be your office:) But I want to remind you that this lifestyle is not suitable for anyone and requires a high degree of self-control/learning ability!
Actually, I didn't know this word until early last year. A German travel blogger told me at first! I wonder how they make money: P? Then I gradually found more and more people around me: Cheng, Amazon, and even marketing, tutoring, yoga, bloggers and so on. It turns out that I am one of them silently, but I am more "interesting": P
The term "permanent traveler" (also known as "permanent traveler", "permanent tourist" or "priority taxpayer") refers to the idea that by setting up different aspects of one's life in different countries and not staying in any place for too long, one can reduce taxes, avoid civic obligations and increase personal freedom.
To put it simply, because of my work, I often wander around different countries and hesitate to be a "long-term traveler", just as I introduce myself in Chinese: a literary and financial woman who has been in a corner of the earth all the year round; To tell the truth, we have done a perfect job in tax planning ourselves.
/kloc-the eternal law of 0/83 days! /kloc-we won't stay in different countries for 0/83 days. At the end of last year, we took stock of 20 18 with a very good Italian friend:
* International water does not count in any country.
This is his. I really can't count it myself. There are too many repeated countries, but they live less than 183 days. I have to settle accounts this year.
Let me show you how other great gods keep accounts:
I have to start this operation this year, too:)
Lifestyle design
A designed lifestyle
First of all, learn foreign languages well! Especially English, you can basically go anywhere in the world:) Private sharing here: How can I speak English more fluently than Mandarin?
Secondly, I believe that remote communication will be the future of the world! Although big cities have many resources and advantages, they are accompanied by more pressure, high housing prices and comparison. How many people are truly happy? How to escape the rat race | Are you serious about living or muddling along?
But change your mind a little! If you can earn the salary in a big city, but live in a relatively low-cost place, is it perfect?
After all, the prices in different cities vary greatly. I once said in an article on the Banner: For example, if you earn USD/GBP, but spend Thai baht, it is simply overtaking in a corner.
And with the development of modern network, the deepening of globalization, various transnational business exchanges, cultural integration and so on. There will be more and more mixed-race children in the future, and I hope there will be less and less racial discrimination:) Well, anyway, the thinking of citizens around the world has become more and more important.
The future is still the era of blockchain, big data, AI, robots, etc. Individuals really have to keep up with the development of the times! Anyway, now more and more people get rid of geographical restrictions and embark on the road of exploring digital vagrants! Personally, I think the experience is really good, but there are also many challenges, but I think it's worth it:)
As an individual, how to pursue more freedom?
How to pursue freedom in this illiberal world?
In fact, the world itself is full of unfairness: for example, being born in Germany and Thailand, having a passport determines many differences in our lives and even limits many opportunities! But instead of complaining, why don't you find a way to solve it?
For example, Estonia's e-resident status has been mentioned before, and this country deserves attention. In fact, many virtual services have been provided now, benefiting many entrepreneurs:) The Internet has no identity boundaries.
In the next issue, I will share some questions about registering Estonian companies:)
Again: opportunities are always where you complain!
Due to the restriction of modern traditional banks or registered companies, Hong Kong will be eliminated sooner or later. Even in my line, many blockchain companies are already cooperating with overseas real estate investment companies. If you have time, you might as well learn prop techniques! I think it will be more convenient and appropriate to buy and sell overseas real estate in the future.
I have a hunch that the change will be faster this year. Instead of complaining/worrying about being laid off, really, it is better to invest in yourself and become the most needed person in the new era!
In fact, it's not difficult, just start with the simplest change of thinking:) For example, learn regional arbitrage and even national arbitrage.

Private recommendation
Finally, I recommend you to read a book: "Four-hour Work Week: Escape from Nine to Five, Live Anywhere, Join the New Rich", which is simply the first book to open the frontier thinking!
In fact, this book has been published for ten years, but it has been on the bestseller list in recent years! Let's raise our posture together and briefly introduce: In fact, what impresses me most is the new wealth mentioned in the book: the modern standard to measure a person's real wealth should be the freedom of money and time!
After all, I still do finance myself, so I have a special say:) In fact, real wealth is far more than money freedom. There are four kinds of real wealth: money/social status/time/health;
But many people only care about money/status, ignoring time and health! The body can only rely on itself, but really don't consume the body in advance when you are young: (I especially want to talk about time here. As young people, time is actually our greatest asset.
For example, I am happy to share information, but I don't want to waste it, so I am willing to provide paid consultation:) In other words, we pay by the hour for consultation outside, so sometimes we are added to WeChat to ask various questions that we can search by ourselves. I'm really sorry, I prefer high-quality dialogue to one-way request: (
Remember that relationships are mutual, and no one has ever helped you.
Back in the book, I pointed out that many people are trying to make money and say that they want to be millionaires, but in fact, no one really wants to be a millionaire, just want to have the lifestyle and freedom after becoming a millionaire. .
But why wait until you become a millionaire before thinking about this lifestyle?
In fact, there is a short story at the beginning of the book, which I shared before:
A rich American came to an island in Mexico for a holiday and met a fisherman. After a few days together, the rich man said to the fisherman, you are very diligent and practical, and I admire you very much. I am willing to spend money to buy a new fishing boat, so that you can catch more fish; If you save the money you earn, you can buy a second or third fishing boat in the future and soon have your own fleet.
Then, there will soon be capital to build a fish cannery and sell it all over the world; Maybe after 20 years of hard work, you can spend a leisurely holiday on this island for a month every year and enjoy life like me.
The fisherman replied to the rich man, you have worked hard for 20 years, but you can only come to this island for a month every year. However, I spend my holiday on this small island every day, living the life that you have worked hard for 20 years.
How do you feel when you see this?
Send a few very thinking-changing points.
-Relative income rather than absolute income
Focus on relative income rather than absolute income
Let's give a simple example. For example, the same is Cheng, one person earns 300,000 yuan a year, and the other person earns 6,543,800 yuan a year. Then, is it absolutely richer for the 654.38+0.5 million yuan? ?
In fact, if A works 10 hours a week and B works 80 hours a week, then A's hourly wage is 58 and B's is 36, then A is actually richer! If A lives in Viet Nam and B lives in new york, A's life will be much better in terms of cost of living.
So in fact, A with an annual salary of 300,000 is richer:) Is it subversive?
I really have a deep understanding of this! For example, I have often lived in Southeast Asian countries in recent years, spending less than half of Hong Kong's, but my small life is really moist: P? Therefore, my colleagues in Hong Kong often say that they envy me, but it really depends on what they want to pursue. Big cities will have more resources. Fortunately, times have changed a long time ago. As long as you can play, Internet resources are actually the richest:)
But to be honest, sometimes I miss Hong Kong, but at the same time I am tired of the rat race life in big cities.
-Geographical arbitrage
Traveling may not cost more, but it can actually save money.
I quite agree with this, especially in Southeast Asia, or in Eastern Europe/South America; Simply take renting a house. Generally, an apartment is only a few hundred dollars a month. Alas, I don't want to compare with first-tier cities in China:
-fruitful
Not proud of working overtime, but efficient.
I often see many media saying that all kinds of chicken soup must work overtime, want to touch myself, and then send a circle of friends?
I always think that hard work is very important, but the direction is more important and more efficient! Anyway, using the reaction force in the opposite direction will get twice the result with half the effort:)
-outsourcing
Be good at outsourcing and let specialized people do professional things.
Many times, I personally decide whether a thing is worth doing. I will compare its value with my hourly wage! Really, don't waste your time when many things can be done by others. I have always agreed that professional things should be done by specialized people.
For myself, I have asked my friends in the Philippines to do all the English materials, saving me a lot of time:) I have recently hired someone else to translate my Chinese website into English; In Hong Kong, I can do these things by myself, but it's really a waste to consider going back to my hourly wage to do these things. In fact, this is also a kind of geographical arbitrage.
-Everything popular is wrong.
Eternal rule of 28
Many things in this world are the "28" rule. If you want to be the 20%, then don't follow the 80%! In particular, the domestic environment is horribly homogeneous.
-Have less.
Have fewer external objects.
In fact, happiness really has nothing to do with how much material you have. Let's take a look at this article: Minimalism | Maybe life is doing subtraction.
Don't trade your time with money, create passive income.
Don't trade time for money, create passive income.
This is also my own theme this year, creating more passive sources of income, slowly turning "making money with time" into more "after-sleep income" and becoming a new generation of new wealth:)
As I said before, it is not the highest level to always exchange time for money, especially as you get older, you will find it uneconomical! Especially when you have physical problems, you can't get money no matter how much time you spend.
-retirement is not the ultimate goal
Retirement is never the ultimate goal.
Many people always think that as long as they struggle to retire, they can do anything afterwards! But in fact, physical deterioration and age will limit many things after retirement, so why wait so long to do what you really like?
In fact, many things will be better when you are young, such as traveling around the world, which is actually one of the benefits of establishing this lifestyle: P
..
I'll let you savor the rest:) No spoilers, anyway, this book is worth reading! But the title of my book (click to read the original text and you can buy it directly from Amazon) doesn't mean teaching you to work only four hours a week.
Tell the truth, good things are hard to come by! This book brings more help to upgrade thinking:)
I'm trying to establish this lifestyle myself:)
But self-control is really important. Otherwise, if you just want to play in a new environment, it's just a simple tour. Anyway, we are used to being on the road all the time, and we basically carry it with us: P?
After practicing for a while, I feel that the biggest challenge of this lifestyle should be the loneliness in a foreign country: (? It is estimated that many people will not accept it, but I used to like a person very much, and sometimes I even enjoyed loneliness? So now I'm basically just leaving, and I'm always changing my country's work to explore, but I've gradually established my own circle in different places:)
