The CD701 prototype car unveiled at Changan Automobile's second Technology and Ecology Conference is a demonstration of the technical achievements of the "Zhuge Intelligence" brand at this stage.

"Intelligent Driving Strategy Brain" mainly focuses on intelligent driving functions such as remote valet parking, high-speed navigational assistance, and urban self-learning navigational assistance driving.

The more technically demanding urban self-learning pilot assisted driving will go online in 2024.

City Pilot Assisted Driving, based on the traditional fixed map-based point A to point B pilotage, breaks through the boundaries of traditional maps, realizes the memory of daily commuting routes and high-frequency travel routes, and after the user drives a certain number of times, it will automatically unlock and push point A to point B city pilotage assistance.

Specific driving skills will cover 10 classic scenarios such as valet parking, right turn at unprotected intersections, automatic detour, start-stop at traffic light intersections, congestion vehicle avoidance, pedestrian deceleration and yielding, intelligent left turn at traffic lights, automatic confluence, navigational lane change, and large curvature vertical traffic line.

The underlying support for these functions comes from the SDA software driver architecture. Based on the idea of "layered decoupling", Changan Automobile has divided the SDA architecture into six layers, L1-L6.

L1-L3 layers determine the physical quality of the robot, which can realize the vehicle's sensing, control and execution capabilities:

The L1 layer is the Ci high-integration intelligent chassis, which provides adaptive adjustment of the chassis height, damping force, and other parameters;

L4 layer, RTDriveOS intelligent driving operating system, is the robot's "mind".

L5 layer, BotStudio atomized services and programmable, SmartFramework algorithmic strategy framework, is the robot's "skill" unit.

Layer L6 is the end-cloud integrated data closure, which is the "knowledge" unit of the robot.

In our past perception, traditional car companies like Changan Automobile are not as good as Tesla and other new forces in terms of software capability and intelligence. Now, the emergence of the "Zhuge Intelligence" brand and SDA architecture has taken Changan's intelligence to the next level.

In particular, the SDA, as a central + regional ring network electronic and electrical architecture, can provide "purchase, sale, use, repair and service" full life-cycle value services, and realize the modularity of the automobile, servicing, and platform for continuous updating and technological leadership.

Electrical and electronic architecture is the foundation of intelligent vehicles and the prerequisite for software-defined vehicles. However, this group of people seems to have overlooked the traditional automakers' ability to integrate resources and build vehicles over the years. In the past one or two years, Changan Automobile has launched UNI, Avita and Deep Blue brands to complete the lineup of different market segments, the speed of which is staggering to friends.

According to official data, orders for Avita 11 have exceeded 20,000 units so far; Deep Blue SL03 was released in 33 minutes, with orders exceeding 10,000, and cumulative large orders exceeded 30,000 units.

The fact proves that there is still room for growth for traditional car companies.

Today, Changan Automobile's Avita and Deep Blue brands have taken root, and new energy products are gradually being enriched.

Now coming to the second half of the battle, the transformation of software-defined automobiles will become an inevitable trend to drive the development of the auto industry in the next 5-10 years.

Changan Automobile has planted two saplings, SDA architecture and Zhuge intelligent brand. In the next few years, when the intelligent car has not been widely penetrated, they still have the possibility to grow into a big tree, and it's not too late.
