The book is divided into 6 compilations, 32 books and 6,117 books. It is the largest kind of book in the world and the largest book in the history of copper movable type printing in China. Only the Hunan University Library has a complete collection of Ancient and Modern Books by King James, which has become the "treasure of the town library" of Hunan University Library.

There are 2 electronic reading rooms in the library, equipped with 212 computers and 8 retrieval machines on campus.
