1, eat non-iodized salt during pregnancy
Iodine can be described as a full "two sides", eat less, make up more, may affect the thyroid health. Recently, the Chinese Academy of Medicine 16th National Endocrinology Academic Conference announced 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, data show that universal iodine 20 years subclinical hypothyroidism prevalence increased, and insufficient iodine intake is part of the underlying thyroid disease pregnant women subclinical hypothyroidism may be the cause.
Professor Ye Hongying, chief physician of endocrinology at Huashan Hospital of Fudan University, said excessive iodine intake may indeed increase the incidence of subclinical hypothyroidism, but iodine deficiency can lead to thyroid disease, so we should avoid choking on iodine and blindly avoiding iodine, especially pregnant women in this particular category of people.
Eating non-iodized salt during pregnancy may lead to subclinical hypothyroidism. The universal iodization of 20 years, from "one size fits all" to "regionalization", the national iodine intake from iodine excess to super-sufficient, to the current state of iodine sufficiency. 1999, 2011 and 2017 three large-scale survey results show that the prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism rose and then fell slightly (3.22% in 1999, 16.7% in 2011, and 13.7% in 2017).
With the popularization of thyroid function tests during pregnancy, there has been an increase in the number of people found to have thyroid abnormalities during pregnancy, especially subclinical hypothyroidism, the most common cause of which is Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Ye Hongying introduced, on the clinical clinic, nearly half of the subclinical hypothyroidism pregnant women do not have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and other underlying lesions, asking about iodine intake, only to find that they because of their own or their families have thyroid nodules or thyroid surgery history of thyroid abnormalities and all change to non-iodized salt, and usually do not try to eat seafood.
Ye Hongying pointed out that iodine is one of the body's essential trace elements, half of the current general population of iodine from iodized salt, the occurrence of many thyroid disorders and iodine intake is not directly related to, we should not blindly avoid iodine. It should be noted that pregnant women iodine needs to increase, domestic and foreign guidelines are clearly recommended "to pregnancy, pregnancy and lactation of women daily iodine intake of at least 250ug. According to Ye Hongying, insufficient iodine intake is a possible cause of subclinical hypothyroidism in this group of pregnant women without underlying thyroid disease.
Women should check their thyroid function when preparing for pregnancy. Ye Hongying pointed out that thyroid disease is one of the causes of infertility and poor pregnancy outcomes. If a pregnant woman suffers from subclinical hypothyroidism coupled with antibody positive two factors at the same time, the rate of miscarriage will increase by nine times, and blindly eat non-iodized salt is not good for the baby. Ye Hongying reminded, from the 12th week of pregnancy, the fetal thyroid gland will begin to absorb iodine. As the fetus develops and the mother's metabolic needs increase, the mother needs to consume more iodine. If iodine deficiency reaches a certain level at this point, it can cause hypothyroxinemia in both mother and fetus, leading to irreversible damage to the fetal brain.
At present, the prevalence of thyroid disease is high in a percentage of women of childbearing age, but most do not have conscious symptoms. Ye Hongying suggested that pre-pregnancy tests should include thyroid function and antibodies. If the pre-pregnancy examination found thyroid abnormalities, should first go to the endocrine specialist clinic, a clear diagnosis and to understand whether the subsequent treatment and pregnancy follow-up.
2, pregnant women can not eat what food
1. fresh fungus
containing photoreceptors of fresh fungus on the light has no resistance, so if pregnant mothers ate fresh fungus, once exposed to sunlight, it is easy to suffer from solar dermatitis, a serious symptom of laryngeal swelling caused by breathlessness.
2. Legumes
Legumes are not absolutely contraindicated, but legumes such as lentils, string beans, white kidney beans, red kidney beans, etc., if eaten raw or not fully heated can lead to poisoning.
3. Cassava
The leaves, stems and roots of cassava contain different levels of toxins, and eating raw or unheated cassava and drinking cassava soup can lead to poisoning. The toxic substances contained in cassava can paralyze the nerves and cause discomfort, and in severe cases can paralyze a person for life.
4. Sprouted potatoes
Sprouted potatoes contain lobelia, and the amount of lobelia is not to be underestimated. If accidentally eaten, it can cause a person's consciousness to be impeded, breathing is not smooth, and they may even lose their lives due to heart failure or respiratory center paralysis.
5. Green tomatoes
Like sprouted potatoes, green tomatoes contain lobelia. Pregnant women who eat green tomatoes that are not ripe will feel bitter and show varying degrees of toxicity, such as nausea, etc., and the threat is even greater if they eat them raw.
6. Fresh cauliflower
There will also be toxic substances in the cauliflower, such as colchicine toxin, if the mother-to-be ate it, it will make the body appear a variety of abnormalities, such as the stomach will have a feeling of fever, dry mouth and so on. When consuming it, you have to cook the yellow cauliflower first and wash it with boiling water after it is cooked through, and consume it after cooking.
7. Rotten ginger
The ginger that has become rotten contains the toxin safrole, which can cause hepatocellular toxicity in pregnant women even if they don't consume a lot of it.
8. Bamboo shoots
Fresh bamboo shoots contain cyanogenic glycosides, a natural toxin, which may cause food poisoning if raw or undercooked bamboo shoots are consumed.
9. Raw Soymilk
Research has found that erythrocyte agglutinin, antitrypsin factor and other toxic elements can be detected in raw soymilk, so once a pregnant woman drinks it, she will be at risk of food poisoning.
