The current situation in the big data industry is that there is a strong demand for big data and a shortage of talent. McKinsey, the world's leading consulting firm, released a survey report pointing out that the demand for big data talent is heating up around the world. In the U.S. alone, there is a talent gap of 140,000 to 190,000 in "in-depth analytics talent" and more than 1.5 million in "the ability to analyze data to help companies make business decisions". Because of the large talent gap, companies need big data talent whether they are recruiting or retraining, so the salary of big data talent may be the highest in the same position, mastery of big data technology, wages may be raised by about 40%.
In China, too, big data is fast becoming an industry and market hotspot. Research data released by Pan Asia Consulting, a market research organization specializing in the Asia-Pacific and China markets, shows that the current demand for data analytics-related jobs appearing on various recruiting platforms is growing at a rate of up to 67 percent compared to the same period last year; and that the salaries of big data-related senior positions are on average more than 43 percent higher than those of other similar technical positions. Whether worldwide or in China, the wave of big data is profoundly changing all walks of life, and the demand for big data talents in all walks of life, as well as the demand of technical practitioners who wish to be among the senior talents of big data, has also become increasingly strong. Many enterprises want to walk in the front of the times and be the leader of the big data industry, but big data talents are highly lacking and difficult to recruit. This time the enterprise internal training may be a way.
