Meanwhile, the National Tourism Administration issued a notice requiring provincial tourism departments to carry out centralized inspections of 4A scenic spots under their jurisdiction, especially to deal with scenic spots that lag behind in the toilet revolution, have declined in management and service level, and are unable to meet the standard requirements. Provincial tourism departments attached great importance to the matter, took immediate measures and worked seriously. The Toilet Revolution Advancement Report shows that China is expected to complete a total of 71,000 new and rebuilt toilets by the end of 2017, which is expected to overshoot the three-year plan of the toilet revolution.
According to the report, since the toilet revolution was launched, it has not only completed the action plan and achieved the projected goal, but also realized a qualitative leap, presenting the new features of "humanization, ecology, special features, landscaping, internationalization, and intelligence".
The report shows that people's satisfaction with toilets has increased significantly. Data from network big data analysis and the National Tourism Toilet Visitor Evaluation Survey show that satisfaction has risen from 70 percent in 2015 to more than 80 percent.
