Selection criteria for second-tier cities:

The 337 cities at prefecture level and above in China are evaluated according to five dimensions: concentration of commercial resources, urban hub, urban crowd activity, lifestyle diversity and future plasticity. The algorithm is also consistent with the past: the final result is obtained by combining the scoring method of the expert Committee of the new first-tier city research institute and the principal component analysis method.

In the whole algorithm framework, the data that constitute the first-level dimension indicators come from 19 second-level dimensions and 79 third-level dimensions-if it is extended to the fourth-level dimension, the number of indicators has exceeded 100.
