The new coronavirus outbreak started in 2019.
Wuhan's first patient with new coronavirus pneumonia had an onset on December 12, 2019, after which patients with unexplained pneumonia appeared one after another in some medical institutions in Wuhan City, and after various related viral tests, a new type of coronavirus was detected on January 7, 2020, and pathogenic nucleic acid testing was completed on January 10, and on January 12, it was determined that the disease was novel coronavirus pneumonia.

On the same day, Wuhan carried out a citywide epidemiological investigation.
January 3, 2020: second notification, expressed still as viral pneumonia, the number of patients increased to 44 cases, including 11 severe cases. At this point in time, the cumulative report of 62 cases of new coronavirus pneumonia, has been cured and discharged 19 cases, in the treatment of serious illness 8 cases, death 2 cases.
Also worth noting: of those 17 cases, nine were under 60 years old, eight were 60 years old and older, the youngest was 30 years old, and the oldest was 79 years old -- indirectly suggesting that the frail may be more susceptible to the virus.
January 18/19, 2020: 59 new cases on the 18th, 77 new cases on the 19th, and 136 new confirmed cases on both days***. The numbers show some signs of an outbreak, and for the first time, there is no mention of "limited human-to-human transmission" and "low risk of sustained human-to-human transmission".
