In layman's terms, a data center is a large server room in which tens of thousands of IT devices are running, generating a constant flow of heat. If the temperature in the data center is too high, the chips will not work stably, and the CPU and other devices will not work properly. In order to maintain the appropriate temperature in the data center and avoid server downtime due to overheating, data center operators have to use cooling systems to cool down the server room, which also generates huge cooling costs. However, if the data center is built in a location with low temperatures, the cold environment can cool the server room and effectively reduce operating costs.
