One structure, three platforms
Adhering to the technological innovation concept of "brand-new originality, global debut", Red Flag has made great efforts to build the "green and intelligent, safe and efficient, and high performance products". The "Flag" high-end electric intelligent super architectures (FMEs), which are "green, intelligent, safe, efficient, ultimate experience, flexible and changeable", bring together all the major breakthroughs and latest achievements of FAW Group's 8 major technology clusters and 115 key technology areas. The research and development of Red Flag's hybrid platform, HMP, took five years and broke through 526 key core technologies, and centered around the platform features of safety, low carbon, pleasure and power, it has a number of new and original unique technological charms that are ahead of the rest of the world.
The four core systems of Red Flag's hybrid platform HMP are:
First, the high-efficiency hybrid transmission system. Adhering to the concept of "luxury quality, integration and innovation, and ultimate excellence", and relying on the original configuration, high degree of integration, and extremely lean design, Red Flag has created a highly efficient, powerful, and quiet hybrid transmission. The comprehensive efficiency reaches more than 90%, the output torque of longitudinal transmission is more than 4,500Nm; the output torque of transverse transmission reaches 3,900Nm, and the full-range order noise is less than 65dB.
The international first longitudinal front-drive dual-motor multi-gear hybrid transmission, LDU45, is used in hybrid models above C-class, which integrates the drive axle, transmission, motor and controller, solving the technical difficulties of traditional longitudinal transmissions in transferring the power forward, and realizing the shortest transmission path and the lowest system loss. The multi-gear design keeps the engine speed below 2,000 rpm during high-speed cruising, which is in the high-efficiency and low-noise zone, effectively cracking the problem of high speed noise and high fuel consumption of most current hybrid models.

In addition, Red Flag has also developed a very compact and high-efficiency transverse hybrid transmission HDU35, which is used in A and B class hybrid models, with the shortest axial length of 376mm in the industry, and for the first time adopts medium-voltage silicon carbide inverter and multilayered flat-wire oil-cooled motors, realizing the weight of the assembly is reduced by 10kg or more compared with the same-class products. This reduces the weight of the assembly by more than 10kg compared with similar products. At the same time, the newly developed dual electric pump on-demand energy supply hydraulic system realizes the ultimate efficiency of HDU35 products and reduces the power consumption of the system by 80% compared with similar products.

With the pursuit of high efficiency, comfort and intelligence, Red Flag has created two hybrid engines, 20TD and 15TD, with the industry's highest thermal efficiencies of 44.3% and 45.2% respectively. The hybrid engines have solved the international problem of being difficult to combine "cleaner" and "more powerful", and can realize a super high power of over 60kW/L under the premise of ensuring high thermal efficiency, which is at the international leading level.
