The majors that can be streamed include: Film and Television Arts Technology, Architecture, Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Information and Computing Science, Applied Physics, Electronic Information Science and Technology, Microelectronics, Applied Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering, Metallic Materials Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Inorganic and Non-Metallic Materials Engineering, Materials Physics, Polymers Materials and Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Measurement and Control Technology and Instrumentation, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Automation, Communication Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Processing, Bioengineering, Food Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Digital Media Arts.
You can choose any of the above majors you want to be streamed into if you are in the top 80% of the science lab class. The latter 20% will be sorted according to your interest, your entrance exam score and your first year's GPA, and with reference to your overall performance, and based on the maximum number of students that can be accommodated in each major, you will be streamed into the above majors in the order in which you fill in the volunteers for the majors that you wish to be streamed into.
It can be said that the real thing is no longer "one exam for life".
