Fast Hand is a product of Beijing Fast Hand Technology Co. The predecessor of Racer, called "GIF Racer", was born in March 2011, and was initially a mobile application used to create and share GIF images.

In November 2012, Racer was transformed from a pure tool application to a short video community, a platform for users to record and share their production and life.

In the morning of June 6, 2020, Racer announced that the intelligent cloud big data center project landed in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, with an investment of 10 billion yuan, is expected to be put into use in 2021.
