The Palace Museum is positioned as an ancient art museum, that is, it collects all kinds of artworks from previous dynasties. There are two sources of cultural relics in the Forbidden City. One is the royal collection, including royal works of art, daily necessities and office supplies, totaling more than 600 thousand pieces; The other is to collect it after liberation, or donate it to the society, or buy it for yourself, or distribute it among museums.
