Doctors are much safer, with practicing physicians having only a 2 percent chance of being automated, and other related professions, such as scientists and health services managers, are also resistant to machine encroachment.

Information technology and programming jobs are considered relatively safe, making computer science and information technology one of the least automated fields.

Lawyers, management consultants, journalists, publicists and secondary school teachers are also fairly immune to automation, so on the whole it is better to study English and history than science.

Sports science and biology jobs are also unlikely to be automated, as health-related careers are generally less likely to be automated.
