mpu is the Macau Polytechnic University, a public multidisciplinary applied university located in Macau, China, and a member of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Universities Alliance, the Alliance for Big Data in Languages, the World Alliance for Translation Education, and the Greater Bay Area Alliance for Lusophone Education. Macau Polytechnic University was formerly known as the Polytechnic Institute of the University of East Asia, founded in 1981; it became the Macau Polytechnic Institute in 1991; and was renamed Macau Polytechnic University in 2022.

Macao Polytechnic University has 15 academic units, including the Faculty of Arts and Design, the Faculty of Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Management Sciences, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Health Sciences and Physical Education, and the Faculty of Languages and Translation.

The Faculty is internationalized with faculty members from Mainland China, Korea, Europe and the United States. The College creates a diversified learning environment and optimizes its work by following the policy of "student-oriented and whole-person development". The College has a team of academic advisors comprised of experts from renowned universities around the world, who play an active role in the College's academic development and guidance.

Professional Programs

Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) has three levels of degrees: doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees. In line with the national talent training program, the Faculty offers majors in Sino-Portuguese/China-Portuguese Translation, Economic and Trade Relations between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, International Chinese Language Education, and Portuguese, enriching the pool of bilingual Chinese and Portuguese talents, and contributing to the development of the "One Belt, One Road" Initiative and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The computer science, e-commerce, and business administration majors combine technology and business elements to cultivate complex professionals, contributing to the construction of a "big data center" and an "international science and technology innovation center" in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
