It's sarcasm from netizens criticizing the People's Daily for the expansion of the Longzi Lake University Town in Henan Province.

A group of provincial-level cadres in Henan Province privately approved the expansion of the Longzi Lake University Town, and the People's Daily criticized and disciplined the cadres involved. In fact, the reason for Henan's expansion was the lack of educational resources in the province, while at the same time Beijing has a much larger golf course than the Longzi Lake University Town in Henan, so the students in the big province had a heated discussion on the matter.

Longzi Lake University Park:

Located in the eastern part of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, Zhengdong New District, east of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, west of Zhengzhou City, East Third Ring Road, north of the Lianhuo Expressway, and south of Zhengzhou City, Jinshui Road, covers an area of about 22 square kilometers. The Longzi Lake College Park consists of three parts: the College Park, Longzi Lake Wisdom Island and Longzi Lake, with an overall ring-like distribution.

The Longzi Lake Wisdom Island is a pilot and demonstration area of the national-level big data comprehensive pilot zone and the first wisdom island in Henan Province, featuring government agencies including the Henan Center for Patent Examination and Collaboration of the Patent Office of the State Intellectual Property Office, and scientific research facilities such as the National Center for Technology Transfer Zhengzhou.

As of August 2022, the Longzi Lake University Park has 15 higher education institutions with more than 200,000 students and teachers, and has become an important source of talent, a center of concentration, and a vibrant area of science and technology in the Central Plains Science and Technology City. Longzi Lake University Park will be the core of dual innovation, to create a cloud lake information technology cluster and the Henan Provincial Academy of Sciences headquarters, the National Center for Technology Transfer Zhengzhou and other science and education dual innovation clusters as the lead.
