What's the difference between amoxicillin and cephalosporin?
Both of them are β-lactams. People who are allergic to penicillin should not use it.

There are many kinds of cephalosporins, such as 1, 2 and 3, which are generally superior to amoxicillin in antibacterial spectrum and effect. Some cephalosporins are insensitive to lactamases and can be used for amoxicillin-resistant strains.

But if it is effective, it is better to use the lowest amoxicillin as much as possible.

Both are prescription drugs and can only be used by consulting a doctor.
