There are many kinds of cephalosporins, such as 1, 2 and 3, which are generally superior to amoxicillin in antibacterial spectrum and effect. Some cephalosporins are insensitive to lactamases and can be used for amoxicillin-resistant strains.
But if it is effective, it is better to use the lowest amoxicillin as much as possible.
