"Baidu Migration" utilizes big data technology to calculate and analyze its LBS (Location Based Services) big data, and adopts an innovative visualization method to show, for the first time in the industry, the trajectory and characteristics of China's population migration before and after the Chinese New Year in a full, dynamic, instantaneous, and intuitive way. Functionally, "Baidu Migration" takes two dimensions: region and time, and can be used to observe the overall migration situation of the whole country, as well as the migration situation of various provinces and municipalities in the current and past time periods, so as to intuitively determine the sources of incoming and outgoing populations. The LBS data for "Baidu Migration" comes from the Baidu Maps LBS open platform, which provides free and high-quality positioning services for hundreds of thousands of APPs, and handles more than 3.5 billion user positioning requests per day (as of August 2013), making it the broadest data and technology service platform for LBS data sources in China. As an innovative project, "Baidu Migration" hopes to serve government departments in scientific decision-making through the innovative application of big data, give sociology and other scientific research a new perspective and methodological tools, and at the same time create opportunities for the public to get in touch with big data and popularize the value of data. Data description: In order to better show the real situation of Spring Festival migration, provincial migration data and migration data between developed cities and satellite cities are not included in the analysis and presentation of the data of this project during the Spring Festival.
