How to make a directory of Word and how to insert a separator.
1. First, open the word20 16 software, open the file that needs to configure the directory, transfer it to the page view, and select full-text view. By default, it is a text style.

2. Then, you need to configure the first-level directory. You can set the first-level table of contents by selecting the first paragraph of the text and configuring it as the title 1.

3. Then click the left mouse button at the bottom of the first paragraph where you need to insert the separator, click Insert in the menu bar, and click Select Pagination to insert the separator.

4. Next, configure the secondary title, select the text to be configured in turn, click ear title 2 above to configure the secondary directory, and insert the page break according to the previous method.

5. In this order, set the multi-level titles of styles and configure the titles of the three-level and four-level directories.

6. After setting, click the reference button in the menu bar, click Directory, select the appropriate directory type interface in the following menu, and insert the directory.

7. Click Insert Update Directory to complete the content of the text, and the created content will be displayed at the beginning of the text.
