On May 12, I attended the "Health Care and IoT Development and Application Services" Summit Forum co-organized by the Taiwan Internet of Things Industry Association and Kaohsiung University of Medical Science as a panelist. The event was held at the Kaohsiung University of Medical Science's International Conference Center, and the focus of the meeting was on the combination of Long Term Care 2.0 and IoT devices.
According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's information, the difference between Long Term Care 2.0 and Long Term Care 1.0 is that the target of the service has changed from 4 to 8 categories (more than dementia over 50 years of age, more than 55 years of age, more than 55 years of age, more than 55 years of age, the disabled, mentally and physically handicapped and more than 65 years of age, debilitated), and the project of the service has changed from 8 to 17, and one of the 17 service modes is the community holistic care mode, which is in fact the most important part of Long Term Care 2.0. One of the 17 service models is the community holistic care model, which is in fact the key item of Long Term Care 2.0. This care model will be combined with the community's existing resources, the implementation of the ABC three-tier structure to do, A level for the flagship store, that is, the community integrated service center; B level for the store, that is, the expansion of composite service centers; and C level for the store, that is, the wide range of long-lasting care station.
To achieve such a structure, it is necessary to combine remote care with community integrated service centers, so that the usual caregivers are in the community care centers of the lane long term care stations or at home, but through the Internet of Things (IoT) of the elderly health monitoring devices, wearable devices, or smart medical devices (Bluetooth blood glucose meter, Bluetooth blood pressure monitor), measure the health information of the caregiver, and transmit it to the medical data center, so that the hospitals can monitor the health of the elderly. The new technology will also allow the user to monitor and report on the status of the device in order to reduce the burden on the healthcare professionals.
This forum is discussing such a theme, and on that day, Tsai Yi-yung, Deputy Director of the Center for Long-Term Care Research at Kaohsiung Medical University, said that the Kaohsiung Medical University's telecare network has already had such a link and has been implemented for many years. It is to be cared for on the day of the measurement of blood pressure and blood glucose figures back to their data center, because of the number of people worried about the health of the clinic to go to a quarter of the original, to reach the clinic to save resources.
Now, doctors in the health insurance industry are overburdened with visits, and many of them have to make short visits to diagnose illnesses. If the frequency of visits is reduced through such a mechanism, so that doctors can focus on the medical treatment they need to do, I believe that the quality of medical care can be improved. Deputy Director Tsai also told that they will combine more IoT devices in the future to make this mechanism better.
In addition, because the amount of health information obtained in this way is not large, it can only be used in the form of data mining, coupled with statistical models to do data regression modeling, so that the accuracy is relatively limited, but it is good to start, as Kaohsiung University of Medical Sciences has now reached a part of.
Because now the amount of data from a single hospital system is not enough to become a big data to build a high precision model, and to form the scale of big data, you need to integrate the information from multiple hospital systems, and now the major hospitals have become mountainous, it is not easy to talk about cooperation, and there are a lot of patient privacy concerns, such as the need to take the health care data into a group trend model are unavailable, and all of this requires a *** to do the integration.
