According to the "Implementation Measures for the Professional Qualification Examination of Practicing Pharmacists"
Article 1 The State Food and Drug Administration and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security are jointly responsible for the professional qualification examination of licensed pharmacists. The management work is entrusted to the Licensed Pharmacist Qualification Certification Center of the State Food and Drug Administration, and the examination work is entrusted to the Personnel Examination Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
The human resources and social security administrative departments of each province, autonomous region, and municipality directly under the Central Government, in conjunction with the drug regulatory department, are responsible for the examination work in their respective regions. The specific division of responsibilities shall be determined through consultation between localities.
Article 2 The date for the professional qualification examination for licensed pharmacists is in principle October every year.
Article 3 The professional qualification examination for licensed pharmacists is divided into two professional categories: pharmacy and traditional Chinese medicine.
The pharmacy examination subjects are: Pharmacy Professional Knowledge (I), Pharmacy Professional Knowledge (II), Pharmaceutical Management and Regulations, and Comprehensive Pharmacy Knowledge and Skills.
The subjects of the traditional Chinese medicine examination are: professional knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine (I), professional knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine (II), pharmaceutical management and regulations, and comprehensive knowledge and skills of traditional Chinese medicine.
