The predecessor of the school is the Fujian Government Commercial School and Fuzhou Youth Association College, which were founded in 1906; in February 2003, the former Fujian Commercial School, Fujian Engineering School and Fujian Electronic Industry School merged to form Fujian Information Vocational and Technical College.
