The other day I saw a young lady from Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts reading this book, and after casually flipping through it, I decided to buy a copy for myself. Since entering the big data visualization industry design, more aware of the importance of user data. There is a layer of deeper understanding of how to mine user data and how to visualize data for design.

Contextual interaction design is a means and a method to design for life, not just solving individual tasks or activities. Immerse yourself in the user's world to tune into intuition and focus design ideas. Conduct team design, **** with design to achieve alignment. Author Karen discusses it starting with how to do it

First, the opening chapter talks about how to do user data collection. Normally, when we make a product, we often generalize to represent the majority of users through a very small amount of data, which is not right. It's not enough to just ask to get the data for the design. You should enter the world of the user, get the best data, and use the motivations and reports of real experiences to interpret and then design. Think with user data.

Building an affinity diagram is important. Affinity diagrams are built from the top down; don't use personal experiences to represent user data.

Next, define the product, build storyboards, and review the storyboards. Design from the user's work scenarios. From there, observe interaction patterns and innovate on them. Create a focal point for creativity. Conduct a wall study from data to design. Wall studies are a bridge to immerse the expanded team in the data. People can actively interact with the data while digesting and absorbing it, giving everyone the **** same understanding of the user. Research experience models such as: where, when, and in what context the activity occurs. How time is utilized. How long the user maintains attention, the support of the equipment, how it is reviewed and accepted, etc. Introduce each model and the core focus so people know what to look for.

Next, conceptualize the vision plan and cool list to clarify the product concept.

Finally, product realization is done based on user testing and validation. Planning and strategy for the product is carried out. Design the product into shape validation. Consider the following questions:

1. Is the focus area coherent and consistent?

2. Is each focus area distinct?

3. Do the focus regions support real work?

4. Is the functionality and content correct?

5. What do the links mean

6. Is the overall structure optimal?

7. Does the structure support the practice?

8. Does the design support the Cool Concept?

After validating these questions, prioritize and deploy, curate a series of releases, break them down, and drive and implement them.

After reading this book, I have a clearer understanding of myself, and will be able to put this knowledge to better use in my work, which is the most important thing.
