Envy41236tx installing system after adding SSD by myself
Hello, thank you for choosing HP products. Suggest you refer to the following information:

1, after checking, envy4-1236tx has mSATA slot, you can add SSD, the maximum data of the official test is 32GB;

2, recovery manager can be used to restore the system to the factory state, but it can not be pre-set to install the system in a certain disk;

3, if you add a solid state hard disk, and want to install the system in the solid state hard disk, you need to use the system CD-ROM to install the system, the specific installation process, please refer to the following information:

Turn on the computer and constantly click on the F9, enter the startup menu, select the CD-ROM drive to start the installation of the system, the partition will be deleted all the way to the mechanical hard disk, the top of the new partition (in accordance with your need to divide into several partitions) A 100M system reserved partition will be created automatically.

This is the most important step, because mSATA SSDs do not have a boot function. You need to have a "100M system partition" on top of the mechanical hard disk to boot normally;

Then install the system on the SSD, and you can boot normally and use the operating system.

4. It is recommended that you burn system recovery media before reinstallation so that you can restore the factory system in the future.

Steps to make system recovery media (can only be made once per machine)

(1) Please go to Start - All Programs - HP Help and Support or Security and Protection - HP Recovery Manager and select HP Recovery Media Creation to open it, or select HP Recovery Media Creation to open

(2) The screen prompts you "You can only create one set of recovery media", check "I accept", click OK.

(3) Prompted to insert a USB flash drive (please note the capacity of the required USB flash drive displayed, it is recommended to use a USB flash drive of 16G or more to create the recovery media.)

(4) Follow the instructions on the screen
